This week we explored jazz recorded in the year 1964; when the average income was about $6,000, gasoline was 25¢ a gallon, bread was about 21¢ a loaf and a postage stamp cost 5¢! Everyone was alive and active; some soldiering on, some in transition, some stretching their boundaries... Miles, Coltrane, Jackie McLean, George Benson, Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hancock, Wes Montgomery, Art Blakey, Grant Green & more.
