visit the artist's website!

This Tuesday is the one year anniversary of my first time on the air at WFCF! To mark the occasion, I've begun featuring works of art at the head of the playlists. I hope you enjoy them as I do, and when you're done with the playlist, go visit their online galleries for more of their fine work! We'll also be celebrating with lots of other anniversaries: famous albums by Bill Evans, Dave Brubeck & MJQ were recorded on June 25th. Fans of jazz vocalists will be happy as well, I count 8 in the playlist! Quite a few Florida cats & kittens as well; and as always plenty of new releases. The fun begins at 3pm Eastern and goes til 7. Tune in online via iHeart. See you then! - DJ Kendo

Settling into the four hour thing and having a ball. This week - no theme, no wackiness (except for the usual), just a big cross-section of the best in jazz, and trying to add the flavor of the library built up over the last 15 years by the music directors at WFCF. This week I got exposed to albums by Jim Gailloreto & Ali Jackson, both of which I highly enjoyed, and are played on the show. Plenty from the new jazz shelf and some serious Florida talent as well.
