This weeks show was the first of two space-themed shows for August: "Heavenly Bodies". We started off innocently enough with fun jazz about moon & stars . At 4pm the spacier jazz began as we launched out on a 2 hour voyage; starting at the Sun, then outward, visiting most of the planets in our Solar System, and then beyond! At 6pm we headed "back to earth". We delved a bit into the new jazz shelf; including "Vigil" from the spaciest of jazz trekkers, Chick Corea! Well, it's been a crazy week of music for me - thanks to some great guys who handed me or mailed me some serious amounts of vinyl & digital.
