Jazz Greats Tuesdays on WFCF

"Jazz Greats" every Tuesday from 3-7pm Eastern on WFCF 88Five St. Augustine! From seriously ancient to just-released, from the obscure & forgotten to household names - but always tasty! There's a slight emphasis on 60's & 70's jazz (always a track from CTI) with a few tablespoons of fun & local flavor thrown in. Former host/creator of syndicated show "Kendo's Jazz Sampler".

Song titles with an asterisk are "currents" at the time of airplay.

Playlist for 12-10-2019 WFCF - December Creations Part 2!

Recorded December 1961 but only released in 1985.

This week we continued with the theme "December Creations", playing music recorded in the twelfth month, including music by Chico Hamilton, Thelonious Monk, The Montgomery Brothers, Hank Mobley, Gerry Mulligan, Sonny Red, Donald Byrd & more! We also got to listen to the first track of Walt Dickerson's debut album, now that I got my warped copy flattened at Tone Vendor (did you know that you could do that?) and a lengthy classical excursion from Art Farmer and Jim Hall. Plenty of new jazz, too! Thanks to all who joined me, and thank you for stopping by! - Kendo
