Playlist for 12-5-2017 WFCF - Baubles, Bangles and Beads!

203.04 carat De Beers Millennium Star Diamond

When I was a kid, the back of our world atlas had a guide to all the known precious stones. With some frequency I would sprawl out on the floor, crack that giant tome open and gaze at the dazzling pictures; even occasionally remembering the stone names. Let's just say that video games and home computers hadn't happened yet.

Anyway - I came across a half-finished playlist on my desktop and decided to follow through - hence this week we have the "Baubles, Bangles & Beads" show! Songs about gems and jewelry by the likes of MJQ, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Kenny Drew Jr., Stan Kenton, Bill Evans, Wayne Shorter and much more plus a few open slots for new releases. Tune in on Tuesday Dec 5th from 3-7pm eastern (with a break at 5) by clicking here. See you then! - Kendo
