Jazz Greats Tuesdays on WFCF

"Jazz Greats" every Tuesday from 3-7pm Eastern on WFCF 88Five St. Augustine! From seriously ancient to just-released, from the obscure & forgotten to household names - but always tasty! There's a slight emphasis on 60's & 70's jazz (always a track from CTI) with a few tablespoons of fun & local flavor thrown in. Click here to listen online!

Also check out Palm Coast Jazz, a podcast I co-host filled with splendid original jazz from Florida musicians! My syndicated show "Kendo's Jazz Sampler" is on hiatus since I've become jazz director at WFCF.

Song titles with an asterisk are "currents" at the time of airplay.

Playlist for 10-27-2015 WFCF - Vinyl!

Fascinating 1964 release from Lalo

Quite busy finishing up this year's Top 55 Jazz Tracks lists, and putting together new Jazz Sampler shows, so no playlist. I did however pull a bunch of vinyl - Lalo Schifrin, Gerry Mulligan, Jimmy McGriff, Milt Jackson, Sarah Vaughan, Charlie Byrd & Grant Green. We'll try to get to all of it! Also pulled on cd: Horace Silver, Lisa Parrott, Cal Tjader, Bill Evans, Tom Harrell & much more! All this and new releases. Tune in today (Tuesday 10/27) from 3-7pm by clicking here.
Give me a shout or follow on Facebook or Twitter! See you then! - Kendo
