Day After Christmas Playlist!

Norman Rockwell

I promised something special for Christmas on the 12/16 broadcast. Since there were so many Christmas jazz playlists posted this year, I opted for a Day After Christmas Playlist! Music to recover & reflect by... and help you to get "Carol of the Bells" out of your head. 17 tracks that run about 90 minutes. Hope you dig, and if you do - please share! It's a Youtube playlist, and all tracks were commercial free when I checked. Below the link is a list of songs in case you want to make it on another preferred music site. Happy Holidays! - Kendo

Kendo's Top 55 Jazz Tracks for 2014

It's All Hallow's Eve! Time for the list of songs that did it for me this year, on or off the radio shows.

This year's list is entirely music released in the past year, except for 1 or 2 that came out in 2013, but only reached my ears more recently. Also, afterwards there is a short "Best Albums of 2014" list, as well as a list of 22 older cuts for recommended listening; or perhaps a different, uplifting jazz playlist.

Tune in Tuesday 11/4 from 3-6pm eastern when we'll count down from #25 to #1. After the countdown we'll hear random selections from the awesome oldies list.

Have fun! The links, when available, are for mp3 purchase links over at Amazon. Always get your jazz legally! Thanks for stopping by - Kendo

Playlist for 8-19-2014 WFCF - Black & Blue Show!!

(photograph - Francis Wolff)

This week's theme is "Black & Blue"! All song titles have the word 'black' or 'blue' in them. We hit up most of the 'black' songs in my library last week, but I saved a few for this show. For the 'blue' songs I tried to stay away from titles like "Blues for Alice", so we wouldn't have a whole show of 12 bar heads. Plenty of interesting material - can't wait to spin it! Tune in Tuesday August 19 from 3-7pm eastern. Listen online here.  See you then! - KendoCome say "hi" on Twitter!
