A certain celebrated revolution around the sun has infused my library with a bunch of 'new' additions, including "Tokyo Debut" from Art Pepper, an album simply called "Jazz Messengers", "Throb" from Gary Burton, Kenyon Hopkins kookiness and some very old Prestige recordings, for starters. A bunch more will weave their way into the playlist as I get to know them better. I'm also pretty excited about the new jazz shelf at WFCF, some very hot releases to spin. Animals!! Themed show this week, all of the song titles have an animal in them. Yeah - it's pretty loose lol, but as always - fun is the point!
