Today's show is similar to last week's: New Jazz and Old Vinyl... much of the vinyl was selected on the strength of it's cover art. New releases from jazz titans like Sonny Rollins, Benny Golson and Yellowjackets. Not much sleep last night so I may be off my game - but the music will still be hot. Vinyl includes another 2-fer from Sonny Rollins - this time for the ride home. Also some Bobby Hutcherson that I haven't listened to yet, but it's got John Abercrombie and George Cables so it should rock. This year's list is entirely music released in the past year, except for 1 or 2 that came out in 2013, but only reached my ears more recently. Also, afterwards there is a short "Best Albums of 2014" list, as well as a list of 22 older cuts for recommended listening; or perhaps a different, uplifting jazz playlist.
